174. Jefferson Alexander TRAVELSTEAD⁽²¹⁾ was born on 18 Dec 1838 in Tenn./Ky. border somewhere.⁽²¹⁾ He died on 21 Jan 1900 in IL from Diarrhea which had plagued him since the war. He was buried in New Burnside Cemetery by spouse. He is described as a five foot, eight inch light complexioned male with dark hair and blue eyes. He changed his name to Street after the war between the states. Travel and Stead can losely translated to mean "locale for traveling."

He was married to Mary PRESTON on 26 Nov 1854. Married sometime before 24th birthday. Mary PRESTON⁽²¹⁾ died about 1863 in April or May. Jefferson Alexander TRAVELSTEAD and Mary PRESTON had the following children:

He was married to Nancy Jane CORN on 7 Jan 1866 in Simpson, IL by J.G. Helm. Nancy Jane CORN⁽²¹⁾ was born on 29 Apr 1849 in IL. She died on 6 Feb 1925 in Simpson, IL. Died at age 80. She was buried in New Burnside, IL beside spouse. Jefferson Alexander TRAVELSTEAD and Nancy Jane CORN had the following children:
