As I recall from my youth, I remember our family going to visit Griff somewhere near Chattanooga, TN I believe. John and Ethel Sharp along with my dad and mother went to visit him. He had cancer which finally took his life. As I remember, he was not bedfast, but was not able to work at the time. He would cry and talk to my dad. Daddy seemed to think alot of Griff.
