2. Catherine "Katie" TREFFENSTÄTT(5) was born on 27 Dec 1752 in Penn. or more prob. Germany. She died on 20 Jan 1842 in Catawba Co., NC. She was buried in near the present town of Newton, N.C.. (6) The above mentioned dates are on her tombstone. According to Catawba Co., NC Heritage Book No. 205 Catherine was the daughter of Peter and Mary Barbara Travelstrett. Also Catawba Co., H. No. 220 by Maurine Starnes Moore agrees with above statement.
According to Tradition Martin Echert and his wife
were first cousins. Martin ECKARD
