4. Frederick TREFFENSTÄTT (5) was born in 1757 in PA. He died in Nov 1814 in Carter Co., TN.(6) He was a in farming.(6) He Lived in Penn. & N.C. and moved to Carter Co., TN after 1800 census. (6) Alexander Co. Heritage, NC 1847 - 1986 Ch. 82 spells Fredric's last name "Trefflested"

Carter Co. TN History states that most of Frederick's children had changed their name to Frits or Fritz by the mid-1850's and several of them grew to adulthood in Carter, Johnson Co., TN area. "Frederick Traffenstätt [Traffelstead], (b. 1750-60) came to North Carolina from Pensylvania with his parents about 1766-67. His parents were Christian and Mary Barbara Traffenstätt, who came from Germany on the ship, "Two Brothers" in 1753. Found in Catawba and Lincoln County records from 1767-1793. Mary Barbara's will was recorded in Lincoln County on the latter date."

Carter Co. TN History continues, "It is thought, though not documented, that their son Frederick is the same one who came to Carter County after 1800 and is listed on the 1805 Carter County Tax list."

He was married to Christina BOLICK (daughter of ) before 1790. Frederick TREFFENSTÄTT and Christina BOLICK had the following children:

He was married to Christina MILLER about 1801 in NC probably. Christina MILLER(5) died in 1855. (14) Frederick TREFFENSTÄTT and Christina MILLER had the following children:
