26. Joseph WILSON was born about 11 Oct 1793 in Lincoln (Catawba) Co., North Carolina. Gravestone reads: "Died 14 Nov 1852, aged 59y, 1m, 3d." He signed a will on 24 May 1852 in Catawba County and died there on 14 Nov 1852. He had an estate probated in Jan 1853 in Catawba County and was buried in Robinson-Wilson Cem., Newton, NC.

He was married to Catherine DETTER (daughter of Nicholas DETTER and Anna Marie [Mary] HEDICK) on 2 Mar 1816 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Catherine DETTER was born on 3 Apr 1799 in Lincoln (Catawba) Co., North Carolina and died there on 8 May 1872. She was buried in the Robinson-Wilson Cem., W. Startown, NC. Joseph WILSON and Catherine DETTER had the following children:
