At a Court of Pleas and quarter Sessions begun and held for the County of Chatham at the Court House in the Town of Pittsborough on the Second Monday of February and 9th day Anno Domini 1807 and in the 51st year of American Independence

Gilliam Upchurch sworn as attending Constable on the Grand Jury this term.
Ordered that Jesse Meacham be appointed overseer of the road this ensuing year leading from Thomas West's to John Thompson's Mill in the room of Archibald Lindsey and that the usual hands work under him.
William Rosser and John Fike, Jurors to this term are discharged by the court for cause shewn.
John Stinson is appointed attending Constable in the Court at this term.

Monday, February Session 1807
Ordered that James Scott be appointed overseer of the road the ensuing year in the room of Sampson Brewer and that he have the usual hands to work under him.
Administration of all and Singular the goods and chattles rights and credits of Disey Taylor deceased is granted to Matthias Williams he having entered into Bond in the sum of five hundred pounds with Joseph Brantley, George Wood his securities and was duly qualified.
An Inventory of the Estate of Henry Cook deceased was returned at this court by the Executor thereof and ordered to be recorded.
An Acct. Sales of the Estate of Henry Cook deceased was returned this term by the Executor and ordered to be recorded.
An acct Sales of the Estate of George Brewer Dec'd was returned to court by the Administrator thereof on oath and ordered to be recorded.
An acct. sales of the Estate of William Brewer deceased, was returned at this term y the Administrators thereof on oath and ordered to e recorded.
The last will and testament of Thomas Womble, deceased was duly exhibited in open court at this term and was duly proved in open court by the oath of George Wood and Matthias Williams subscribing witnesses thereto and oredered recorded, whereupon Thomas Womble Jun'r, the Executor thereon named came into court and was duly qualified.

Monday February Sessions 1807
Samuel Temple is appointed overseer of the road, the ensuing term in the room of Thomas Waddill and is to have the following hands to work under him viz: Murdoch McKenzie's hands, Murdoch Millan's hands, Mudoch McDaniel, Edmond Dougherty, Benjamin Williams hands at John Thompson's old place, John Montgomery's hands and Thomas Waddell's hands.
A report of the commissioners appointed to lay off one year's provisions to Mary Self's family, widow and relict of Bush Self, deceased was returned at this term and ordered to be recorded.
A report of the commissioners appointed to lay off one yer's provisions to Peggy? Marsh widow and relict of Robert Marsh, deceased was returned at this term and ordered to be recorded.
A report of the commissioners appointed to lay off one year's provisions to Mary Brantley (and family) widow and relict of William Brantley, deceased was returned at this term and ordered to be recorded.
A deed from John Robertson to Prince and Lightfoot duly proved in open court by the oath of Branly (Brantley?) Guthrie subscribing witness thereto was ordered to be regisiered.
A deed from Abraham Cook, Executor and Nancy Cook, Executrix of Henry Cook, deceased, was duly proved in open court by the oath of Thomas Stone, subscribing witness and ordered to be registered.
A bill of sale from Laban Smart to Prince and Lightfoot proved by the oath of Gilliam Upchurch a witness thereto and ordered to be registered.
A report of the committee appointed to lay off one year's provision to Nancy Brewer (and family) widow and relict of Sampson Brewer dec'd was returned at this term and ordered to be recorded.
Then Court adjourned till tomorrow morning Ten O'clock
