" The tintype looks to have been made about the time of the 1880 Census when the family was listed as:  Brantly J. 45, Elizabeth 40, Thomas H. 13, Charles E. 10, Stephen J. 9, Mary F(rances) 6, and Martha (Pattie) A. 4. None of our family was aware Pattie was ever named Martha."
 

" The other (below) is a photo of my great aunt Alma McMath Blair, who died of childbirth complications, but my father remembered her as his favorite aunt when he was growing up.  The tintype was given to me by Mrs. Tracey Buckner 30+ years ago, when she told me Mary Frances was her mother and Pattie was my Ggrandmother. "
