Stephens Cemetery Columbus County

Information from the Works Projects Administration Historical Records Survey of North Carolina, 1940. Located 2 miles west of Highway 76 on land that was then the Stephens farm. The primary goal of the WPA cemetery survey in North Carolina was to record burials of those that died in the years before 1913 or 1914, when death certificates began to be issued. Therefore, this cemetery survey should not be considered complete. Transcribed by Natasha Miles, May 2012.
