CATAWBA COUNTY BLACK GENEALOGY
A picture walk through Washington Park Cemetery
Regardless
of the weather, with deep respect for this young man, dying long
before his allotted years,
Shamir never saw the age of fifteen. But he loved
basketball--God, he loved basketball!
This triangle of six basketballs survives, in season and out.
When one ball becomes too weathered, it is replaced with a well
loved (and used) ball.
Bessie
Lee Cline lived a good life and was loved in her community.
She was loved by her children and, I expect, loved deeply by the
Lord.
Her picture on the stone shows a glowing face and the flower vase
is rarely empty.
