Heirs at Laws - 1833
State of North Carolina,
Cumberland County
Know men by these presents that we Daniel Graham & wife Nancy, Archibald Black by his agent John Black, Alexr Graham
& Wife Catherine by Daniel Graham agent of said A. Graham, Catherine Graham of the State of Alabama, David Gillis &
Wife Christian, Mary Elliot, Norman Campbell & Wife Isabella, Angus Lasley for himself & Wife Margaret of the State
of Alabama & John Davis & Wife Elenor, being then the heirs at law of Duncan Black Dec'd being all of Lawful age,
have agreed to divide his lands (Except the part already allotted to his Widow Nancy Black for her Dower) as laid
down on the annexed Plan, and the Shares drawn by us out of seven different Grants of land, granted to Gabl. Holmes
and Said Duncan Black which remains undivided, and ?? each of us severally do bind ourselves and our heirs in the
sum of Five hundred dollars current money, that each & every one of us shall hold occupy and enjoy our respective
shares as drawn here of the above mentioned Lands and premises and that each one shall hold the said Land or share
from and against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming from by or under us or any of us,
and further we do relinquish all claim to each other as above described by these presents. In testimony whereof we
have hereunto set our several hands and seals this 9th day of July 1833.
