Died in Cumberland County, NC on January 23, 1860, Mrs. Elvina Ray, aged 41 years, wife of John Ray, and eldest daughter 
of Malcom and Mary Gillis, of Cumberland County, NC. She was a member of the Presbyterian church for fifteen years. She 
leaves a sorrowing husband and seven children to mourn her loss.
