Feburary 28, 1889-
Died at his home in Fayetteville on Thursday of pneumonia, Joseph Hollingsworth, at 
the ripe old age of 84 years. He was born in Cumberland Co., near Gray's Creek Baptist 
Church on Feburary 10, 1805, and for sixty years of his life a member of that church. He 
married Caroline F. Shipman, daughter of Daniel Shipman, of Bladen County, in 1838, by 
whom he had ten children, three whom survive him.
