Luke & Frances Farmer BOWEN. Luke lived in the township of Fayetteville,
NC, from apprx 1790 until his death on 12 Jan 1829 (Frances on and off,
when not teaching in Raleigh, until 1832). She lost everything in the fire
of 1831. He and three of his children are buried somewhere in the area.
In the 1815 tax list he has two lots of Green St and one stable on Mason
St. so burying him on a farm plot seems remote. The obit in the paper made
no mention of a burial. So where are he and the children buried? I've searched
the online lists. Is there a list of public cemeteries active in 1829?
Any info greatly appreciated.
