Deputy Sheriff J.D. Currie brought into town this morning and lodged in jail Lawrence Rowland charged 
with killing Tom Crowder, in Quewhiffle Thursday. The homicide occurred on Mr. J.E. Buchanan's farm. 
Rowland and Crowder were playing snapping guns at each other when Rowland's accidently exploded, sending 
a load of shot into Crowder's head, killing him instantly. It is said that the killing was purely an 
accident. If such is the case, the boy should be discharged.
