Ordered that Caleb Forbes be appointed overseer of the road on Powells Point from Richd. Doughs gate to the end of the point instead of Asa Etheridge.
Ordered that John Chaplin be exempt from attending owing to indesposition of his family.
Ordered that Bannister Midyett Jun., John O Neal, Nathan O Neal, Willm. Meakins or any 3 of them audit & settle the accounts of Jacob Midyett as exr. of Francis Midyett decd.
Ordered that Bannister Midyett Jun. have the right of admr. on the estate of John Midyett; who qualified & gave bond with Wm. Jennett & Jacob Midyett £400.

Ordered that Matthias Bell have the right of administering on the estate of Francis Etheridge decd. who qualified & entered into bond with James Etheridge Jun. & Wm. Etheridge of £500.
Ordered that Jasper Hunt child of Sally Hunt be bound to John Brumsey untill he arrive to the age of 21 (being now about 4) to learn the trade of a Ship Carpenter. The said John Brumsey entering into bond with [blank].

On motion it is ordered that executions shall issue under the act of Assembly passed in Nov 1809 against all debtors who have taken the benefit of the late suspension act unless such debtors come into Court at this time & give further security.
On hearing the petition of Wm. Jones praying that a mulatto woman slave by the name of Edith whom he holds a lawful right & title unto be emancipated & set free on account of her long, faithful & meritorious service rendered him & his family &c. Whereupon it is ordered that the said mulatto woman Edith be released & set free from bondage & permitted to have & hold all the priviledges of a citizen of this State, to act & transact for herself & pass & repass unmolested on her faithful upright & honest conduct in future, on said Edith's supporting herself free of any incumbrance to the County of Currituck for which the said William Jones & Caleb Cox Esquires entered into bond payable to the court in the sum of £500 current money which were approved.

Ordered that Thomas Sanderson, Jona. Lindsey, Edwd. Hardy & Danl. Lindsey or any 3 of them set off to Hezekiah Woodhouse Sen. his equal part of negro Rose and her increase formerly the property of Jasper Woodhouse decd. & make return.

Ordered that Mitchell Simmons, Saml. Salyear, Dennis Dozier Esqrs. be appointed to say what houses shall be built on the public ground for a tavern and other necessary outhouses for a tavern at the Court House & then lease it out to the man who will be jail keeper & take care of the Court House. And these Commissioners shall say what time he shall have to complete the sd. buildings & take bond payable to the Chairman of the Court to complete the building in the time allowed by the commissioners, Also bond to leave the house in good repair when his lease expires. They shall let it to any person for the fewest number of years giving bond as aforesaid.
Ordered that Thos. Sanderson, Thomas Baxter, William Wilson, Dennis Dozier Senr. & Caleb Etheridge examine the list of taxable property and extract therefrom such men as shall be deemed competent Jurors for the Superior Court of said County in order to replenish the Jury box agreeable to act of assembly.
