[Deed Book 21; pg. 52-53] Stephen GIBBS of Hyde County sold to John MYDGETT of Currituck County, for $50.00, a tract of land in Currituck County on Roanoak Island on Blackhall Sound side and joining the lands of Henry BEASLEY, dec'd., and said John MYDGETT, "...it being the lands that my grandfather, Stephen WESKETT left Elizabeth GIBBS, it being Polly SPENCER's part of said land & all my right to the land that fell to me by the death of my uncle William WESKETT, dec'd., & the right of Zachry GIBBS in the land which fell to him by the death of his uncle William  WESKETT, dec'd., for 60 acres..."  This indenture was made November 19, 1831.  Wit:  Samuel MIDGETT, John M.
