Deed Book 48

[Deed Book 48; pg. 1-2] March 16, 1906. Wilson DAVIS & wife Ann Elizabeth DAVIS of Currituck to W.H. SIMPSON of Currituck. Eleven Hundred Dollars. A certain tract or parcel of land in Crawford Township Currituck County, adjoining the lands of Benjamin POYNER and others and described as follows: Being all the land now owned by the said Ann Elizabeth DAVIS in the lands of Wm. ONEAL decd, her father, which is all of said tract Except a piece or parcel sold to William MERCER by Nathan O'NEAL which Deed from said Nathan O'NEAL to said William MERCER is registered in Book No. 43 pp. 119 & c.  The tract herein conveyed is bounded on the North by lands of Benj. POYNER and others; on the East by lands of Ella BROWN; on the South by Back Woods Public Road; on the West by lands of said William MERCER and Robert FROST, containing Seventy Five acres more or less. This Deed is intended to convey all the lands mentioned in Deed from Nathan O'NEAL decd. to William O'NEAL decd., see Book 30 page 38, Except the part sold to said William MERCER by Nathan ONEAL as aforesaid see said Book No. 43 pp. 119 & c. for description of land conveyed to said MERCER. The timber in this land has been sold to Denicson & Martin, down to 10 inches stump diameter and for cutting & removing of same, until Jany first 1907.  /s/ Wilson DAVIS, Ann Elizabeth [x] DAVIS. Acknowledged before E. W. ANSELL, Clerk of Superior Court, who also took the private examination of Ann Elizabeth DAVIS, March 16th, 1906. Registered March 17, 1906 by G. M. WILLIAMS, Reg. Deeds.

[Deed Book 48; pg. 186-188] June 1, 1906. W.H. SIMPSON & wife Patsey SIMPSON of Currituck County to Ann Elizabeth DAVIS of Currituck County. Eleven Hundred Dollars. A certain tract or parcel of land in Crawford Township, Currituck County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Benjamin POYNER and others, bounded as follows viz: Being the land that was conveyed to the said W.H. SIMPSON by said Ann Elizabeth DAVIS and her husband Wilson DAVIS, on the 16 day of March 1906, and is all the William O'NEAL Tract, Except a piece or parcel sold to William MERCER by Nathan O'NEAL which Deed from Nathan O'NEAL to William MERCER is registered in Book No. 43, pp. 119 & c.  The Tract herein conveyed is bounded on the North, by lands of Benj. POYNER and others; on the East, by lands of Ella BROWN; on the South by Back Woods Public Road; on the West by land of said William MERCER and the lands of Robert FROST, containing Seventy Five acres, more or less. To Have and to Hold, the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Ann Elizabeth DAVIS, her heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever. And the said W.H. SIMPSON & Patsey SIMPSON his wife covenant to and with the said Ann Elizabeth DAVIS her heirs and assigns Forever that they are seized of Said premises in fee, and have a right to convey the Same in fee Simple; that same are free from all incumbrances, Except the piece or parcel conveyed to said MERCER by said Nathan O'NEAL and the right to cut and remove the timber beforementioned.  /s/ W.H.
