4 Dec 1896 - Application for Letters of Administration - W.C. WILSON being sworn states that Elmer BALLANCE is dead without leaving any will and that he is the proper person entitled to Letters of Administration; that the value of said estate is worth about $73 and that Charlie BALLANCE, Levin BALLANCE, Mt.Vernon BALLANCE, Utility BOSWOOD, Mary L. WILSON, Caddie WOODARD, Annie WOODARD, Ida WOODARD, and Elmer WOODARD are entitled as heirs and distributees thereof. /s/ W.C. WILSON
4 Dec 1896 - Oath of Administrator - W.C. WILSON swears to faithfully perform the duties of administrator. /s/ W.C. WILSON
4 Dec 1896 - Petition to Sell Personal Property for Cash - W.C. WILSON, administrator of Elmer BALLANCE, decd, shows that it would best serve the interests of the heirs at law and creditors of the estate to sell the personal property of said deceased. /s/ W.C. WILSON
3 Dec 1897 - The estate of Elmer BALLANCE ,decd, in account with W.C. WILSON, administrator. Acct. of sales amounted to $8.40; rec'd. $48.22 of Martha A. COWELL, admx of Dr. W.H. COWELL, decd; rec'd. $19.35 of Jennie WOODARD mother of said Elmer BALLANCE cash left in her hands; various debts were $20 to C.L. PERKINS for coffin, $10.30 to C.C. COUPER for gravestone; H.M. SHAW for services as MD. /s/ W.C. WILSON, Administrator
