6 Aug 1897 - Application of Guardian.  Walter BRAY states that Indiana BRAY is an orphan & minor of Mariah BRAY and that her estate is worth about $100 and that he is the proper person entitled to Letters of Guardianship on her estate (his oath follows).  /s/ Walter BRAY

NOTE:  Marriage records show that Indiana Bray, daughter of Owen & Mariah Bray, married Henry Mercer on Dec. 19, 1901.  Owen & Mariah Bray lived in Moyock Twp. in 1880 and had 7 children living in the home.  This family was listed as black.
