31 Aug 1883 - Commissioners Report on Widow's One Year's Support.  Commissioners met at the residence of J.F. COWELL, deceased, and allotted to his widow, Annie M. COWELL, articles amounting to $411.25.  They also find that the family includes three children under the age of 15.  /s/ J.L. DeCORMIS, W.D. BARNARD, Edmon [his x mark] BURGESS

NOTE: According to cemetery records, Joseph Ferebee Cowell was born Nov. 2, 1829 and died June 30, 1883.
