[This was the only piece of paper in the folder. The folder said "see also Edwin C. Bell's will but, as far as I can determine, there is nothing in the Edwin Bell will to link to John Cox.]
not dated - "And at the same time Wilson CORPREW renounced [torn] the widow of said John D. COX to wit: Frances S. COX comes into Court and dissents from the said last will & testament which is allowed, and thereupon on motion she is appointed administratrix of her said husband & entered into bond in the sum of $5000.00 with Wm. MERCER and Francis JARVES Sureties agreeable to an order of the Court." /not signed/
NOTE: John D. & Frances Cox were enumerated in the 1850 Moyock Township of Currituck County. John was age 39 and Frances was age 44.
