Hilliary Creekmore - 1867

Nov Term 1867 - Mary CREEKMORE, widow of Hilliary CREEKMORE, states that her husband died intestate and that Letters of Administration have been granted to Wm. C. MERCER.  She further states that she desires to have her one year's support out of the estate and asks the Court to appoint Commissioners to allot her one year's support.  On motion Thomas L. SAUNDERSON, Robert POYNER, H.J. WILSON and Wm. S. MERCER were appointed Commissioners.  /s/ J.W. BAXTER, CCC

Jan 1870 - Commissioners Report on One Year's Support.  The Commissioners met on the premises of the late Hillary CREEKMORE on September 23, 1867 and allotted various items to the widow for her one year's support [does not give an amount].  Commissioners also find that the family of the widow consists of 4 persons.  /s/ Henry J. WILSON, Robert W. POYNER
