6 June 1881 - In Probate Court. To Christine DOXEY, widow, and Ashly CORBELL, guardian ad litem for his children, Jno. CORBELL and Tunis CORBELL--take notice that I shall proceed to probate the last will and testament of Alex'r. DOXEY at my office on Monday the 23rd of June 1881 when and where you may file or make objections to the same. /s/ H.B. ANSELL, P.J.
13 June 1881 - To H.B. ANSELL, Probate Judge--A notice from you has been served on me relative to the probating of the will of my husband, A. DOXEY, and this is to notify you that I dissent from the provisions made for me in said will and claim in lieu thereof my dower in the lands of my deceased husband and my years provision. /s/ Christine DOXEY
20 Aug 1881 - Christine DOXEY, widow of A.A. DOXEY, dec'd., petitions the Court on August 10, 1881 to set apart her one year's allowance and on August 15, 1881 the commissioners met at her dwelling and laid off her one year's provision amounting to $253.00. /s/ J.P.
