5 Sept 1893 - Examination of Witnesses. It appearing to the Court by the oath and examination of V.L. PITTS & Elijah EVANS, the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Susan DOXEY, that she was of full age to make a will, therefore let it be admitted for probate. H.S. ANSELL, CSC

5 Sept 1893 - Application for Letters of Administration. Peter POYNER, executor of Susan DOXEY, state that the estate is worth about $50.00 and that Patsy FLORA and her youngest son [not named], Amanda LEE, Patrick FLORA, Grizzel WRIGHT, Lydia POYNER, Lewis DOXEY and Jno. DOXEY son of Alex. DOXEY, and Hannah POYNER are the parties entitled to said property. /s/ Peter POYNER
not dated - Account of Sales of Susan A. DOXEY sold by Peter POYNER, administrator. Various buyers were Abner GIBSON, M.E. WOODHOUSE, S.M. BEASLEY, Thomas CRANE, Wm. BAKER and A.A. OWENS. The total sale amounted to $104.10. /s/ Peter POYNER
10 Sept 1893 - Receipt. Paid Patsey BEASLEY $39.00 for 78 days in nursing and general housework from 1888-1893 at $.50 a day.
15 Sept 1893 - Receipt. Paid Jordan POYNER $24.00 for attention and nursing Susan DOXEY in her last sickness.
29 Sept 1893 - Receipt. Paid J.L. BROWN $10.00 for one coffin.
______ 1893 - Receipt. Paid H.K. DARDEN $24.00 for medical attention daily from Aug. 1-12 at $2.00 a day. [Various other receipts were also included in this estate record]
