The amended Declaration of Joshua Ball made to obtain a Pension for his services in the Revolutionary War.  In making his statement more particularly than he has done by his Declaration of the 29th of August 1832, he says that he was first drafted as early as the first of March 1779 and he thinks the drafts was in the latter part of February of that year and should have stated the fact to be so but for fear of making his service  longer than it was & he chose rather to make it less rather than more.  He further states that he knows that he returned (?) to the place of rondevous (?) under the officer before named, as early as the fifth day of March 1779 & he believes it was as early as the first of March of that year but he cannot from defect of memory state the identical day.  He further states that he continued in the service untill the 20th of August of that year & rather thinks he continued a few days longer, & that he was then discharged but from the length of time & his age and defective memory it is impossible for him to name the very day of his discharge.  He further states that he entered the service again as early as the tenth of March 1780 & he believes it was as early as the first of March 1780 but is here again compelled to decline stating the precise day from the cause he assigned above & he says he was discharged as before stated on the 23d of October 1780 & his discharge where with inclosed [sic].
