[September 16, 1859 entry reads: ]The Three-master come in about 1 o'clock p.m. then over the swash and then got collared and lay about half on.  Did not speak her.

[Later entry at bottom of page:]  December 19th 1870.  I caught 119 talors [a "talor" is a bluefish] on the same day as the steamer Birbank [Fairbanks] came in at Hatteras Inlet and Burned.]
