William Ivy Dowdy, s/o Samuel B. Dowdy & Elizabeth "Betsy" Harris, was born in Kitty Hawk on Sept. 27, 1875 and died in Elizabeth City, Pasquotank Co., NC on March 9, 1964. He was 1st married to Missouri F. Sibbern (d/o Elijah Sibbern, Jr. & Frances Twiford) on June 6, 1895. Missouri was born in Kitty Hawk on Dec. 14, 1876 and died Feb. 17, 1913. William Ivy and Missouri are both buried in Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk. They had 7 children. After Missouri's death William Ivy married Elnora Perry (d/o Thomas Perry, Jr. & Sarah E. "Sallie" Tillett) on July 5, 1914 and to them were born 4 children. |
