Thomas H. Sanders/Saunders with son, Wilson


Thomas H. Saunders, age 57, is found in the 1920 census in Poplar Branch Twp.  His wife was Nettie, age 42, his son Fate was 24 & single, his son Nathan was 17 and his son Thomas W. was 5.  Currituck Marriage Book B shows Thomas Sanders (son of Jesse & Mary Sanders) marrying Nettie Parker (daughter of Benjamin & Missouri Parker) at Powells Point on January 3, 1901.  From all indications it appears that 1) Thomas H. Saunders was born c1863; 2) that he was married at least once before his marriage to Nettie; 3) that Thomas W. in the census is probably the little boy listed as "Wilson" in this photograph; and 4) that this picture was taken c1918.
