ADELIA WALKER

 GERTRUDE BRUMSEY


According to the 1900 Currituck Co. census, Adelia V. Walker was born in June 1884.  She was the daughter of Augustus W. and Alice J. Walker (born April 1853).  Augustus was born March 4, 1845 and died Oct. 24, 1934.  He is buried in the Snowden Cemetery in Maple, NC.  If you have any further information on this family please advise me so I can add it here.

NOTE:  The photo of Adelia on the right was submitted by Anne B. Jennings on June 10, 2011.  The caption on the back of that photo says "Cousin Delia Walker".  The picture was made at Campbell Studios in Norfolk, Va.


According to cemetery & census records, Gertrude Brumsey was born in 1877 and died in 1963.  She was the daughter of Augustus W. & Civility Brumsey and married Ernest E. Walker (1879-1924, son of Wilson & Caroline Johnson Walker) on Nov. 1, 1900.  By 1910 they had two children: a son, Leslie E. and a daughter, Grace D. Walker.


Sadie Walker was the daughter of John Franklin Walker.  Any other information will be welcomed.
