In the name of God, Amen. I Jarvis ALLEN of the State and County aforesaid being in my perfect senses, and of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God; calling to mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, to wit.
Imprimis. I give and bequeath unto my Wife Polly ALLEN a piece of land joining Mr. HOLOWAY's land, on the southward, and to run from Mr. HOLLOWAY's land southwardly along the water so as to contain one third part of my land to the southward of Mr. HOLOWAY's land, and to run from the water westwardly to the head line, then northwardly to Mr. HOLOWAY's line, then to bind his line to the water, containing about ten acres of land, to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Abigail ALLEN one third part of my tract of land adjoining Mr. HOLOWAY's land, on the southward; beginning on the sound side at the land I have given to my Wife, thence binding the water southwardly so far as to run a westwardly course to the head line, and then a northwardly course to the land given to my Wife, will contain one third part of my tract of land to the southward of Mr. HOLOWAY's land, containing about ten acres of land, to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son Jesse ALLEN the other third part of my tract of land to the southward of Mr. HOLOWAY's land; beginning on the sound side, adjoining the land given to my Daughter Abigail ALLEN, thence to run southwardly to James SPRY's land, thence westwardly, binding SPRY's land to the head line, thence northwardly to the land given to my Daughter Abigail, thence binding her land to the water, containing about ten acres of land, to him and his heirs forever.
Item: I give unto my Daughter Sally EVERTON ten acres of land adjoining Mr. HOLOWAY's land to the northward, beginning on the sound side at Mr. HOLOWAY's land, thence northwardly binding the water so far as by runing a westerly course parallel with Mr. HOLOWAYs line to the head of Parkers Creek, will contain the ten acres of land, to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN ten acres of land adjoining the ten acres given to my Daughter Sally EVERTON; beginning at the land given to my Daugter Sally on the sound, thence binding the water northwardly so far as by runing a westwardly line parallel with the line of my Daughter Sally EVERTON's land to Parker's Creek, will contain ten acres of land, to her and her heirs forever.
I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN and Son Jesse ALLEN my back land, to them and their heirs forever.
Item: I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN the remainder part of my tract of land to the northward of Mr. HOLOWAY's land, beginning on the sound at the land given to my Daughter Polly ALLEN, thence binding the water to Edward HOLOWAY's line, thence to Parker's Creek, thence up the creek to the land given to my Daughter Polly thence eastwardly to the sound, to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one mare and yearling colt.
Item: I give unto my Son Jesse ALLEN one horse: also one cow called his.
Item: I give unto my Daughter Abigail ALLEN one cow called her cow, I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one brinded heifer. I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN one cow called Redbird. I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN one cow called Pug. I give unto my Daughter Sally EVERTON one cow called Pidey which cow she has now in her possession.
Item: I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one red heifer. I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN one pided heifer. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one small stear. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one bed and furniture. I give unto my Son Jesse ALLEN one bed and furniture. I give unto my Daughter Sally EVERTON one bed and furniture, one chest, one table, one woollen wheel, one water peggin, two head of sheep, and two sows, five head of geese, all of which articles she has had in her possession. I give unto my Daugter Betsey ALLEN one bed and furniture. I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN one bed and furniture. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN four head of sheep. I give unto my Son Jesse ALLEN one sheep. I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN one sheep. I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN one sheep. I give unto my Daughter Abigail ALLEN one sheep. I give unto my Son Jesse ALLEN one young sow. I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN one young sow. I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN one young sow. I give unto my Daughter Abigail ALLEN one young sow. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN all the remainder part of my hogs. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one chest. I give unto my Daughter Betsey ALLEN one chest. I give unto my Daughter Polly ALLEN one woollen wheel. I give unto my Wife Polly ALLEN one linen wheel; also one loom, sleys, gears etc; also one cupboard and furniture, also one iron pot, one tea kettle, one dutch oven. I give unto my Daughter Sally EVERTON five shillings money, considering that I have given her an equal share or money before making this will which she has had in her possession.
My will and desire is that after paying all my just debts, the remainder of my estate that is not given away be equally divided between my Wife Polly ALLEN, my Son Jesse ALLEN, my Daughter Betsey ALLEN, my Daughter Polly ALLEN and my Daughter Abigail ALLEN.
Lastly I appoint Thomas POYNER SEN. my executor of this my Last Will and Testament. Given under my hand this 26th day of Jan'y 1819.
