In the name of God Amen.
I William AUSTIN being sick but of perfect sound mind thanks be to giving to God do make this my Last Will and Testament in following manner and form Viz. do make this my Last Will Testament in maner following that is to say I give to all my lawful heirs one dollar a piece then I give to my Daughter Marey HERELU (?) all my estate ubsurbing of one gun that I give to my grown Son Gareson.
And I hereby make and ordain my worthy friend Joel CAPPS executor of my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said William AUSTIN have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twenty third of December 1823.

and delivered by the said William AUSTIN the testator as his Last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the time of sealing and
signing thereof
