The Last will and Testament of Demsey BALLANCE Decd. was Exhibited at may Term 1837 and proven by the oaths of Caleb WALKER and Demsey WALKER and ordered Recorded.
In the name of god amen.
I Demsey BALANCE of the county of Currituck and State of North carolina being of sound mind and Memory Do make and ordain this My Last will and Testament in form as follows.
Item I give unto my Two sons William Z. BALANCE and Spence BALANCE the land and plantation where I now Live To be Equilly Divided if Either of Those Boys Die with out hair the other to be his hair
Also I give the Land I bought Robarts to my Daughter Abigil BALLANCE there
I Lend unto my Wife all the Land and property During hir life after paying my Just Debts the rest of my Property to be divided between Marier BALANCE and Irrenica BALANCE.
Also I do appoint my wife to be my exeter to this My Last will and Testament Revokeing all other wills in witness heair of I have set my Hand this october the Tenth D. Eighteen Hundred and Thirty three.
