The Last Will and testament of Wm. BERRY dec'd. Exhibited in open Court at May term 1832 & proven by the oaths of Hosea BALL & Lemuel BALL witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded. The Extrix Qualfyed.
In the name of God amen I William BERRY of the County of Currituck in the State of North Carolina being in perfect helth and of sound and disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and that it is appointed for man to die do make and ordain this my last will & testament in manner and form following.
Imprimise I give and bequeath to my Sister Betsey PORTWOOD the sum of Twenty five dollars and if she be dead before the same gits to her to her son Howard PORTWOOD if he should be dead to be divided to the rest of her children.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Betsey BERRY all the Remainder of my estate within doors & without to her & to her disposal forever.
Lastly I will and desire that my beloved wife Betsey BERRY be and are hearby constituted appointed and ordained whole and sole Executrix to this my last will & testament in witness hearof I have hearunto set my hand & seal this 7th day of January 1831.
