In the name of God Amen,

I Joacum BESELEY of the County of Currituck and State of N. Carolina being sick and weak of body but perfect in memory thanks be given unto God for it calling unto mind the mortality of man ??? ??????? do make this my Last Will and testament and divise my worldly goods in manner and form as follows.

Item: I wish my executor to sell to pay my lawful debts one large canoe, one mare, one large musket, one sword, one yoke of oxen and as much of my property as will pay my lawful debts.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Lydia BESELEY all the remainder of my property to her use to maintain and raise my children on but should she fail to raise them thereon my wish is for my property to be sold to raise and support them upon and at their raising the property to her forever except one mare colt I leave to my Daughter Rhoda BESELEY.

I nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wife Lydia BESELEY my whole and sole executor, to this my Last Will and Testament revoaking all others in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused my seal to be affixed this twenty first day of Augu' in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and six
