The Last will and Testament of Arthur BOWDEN dec'd. Exhibited in open Court at May Term 1832 proven by the oaths of J.J. WATERFIELD & Timothy BOWDEN witnesses thereto & ordered to be Recorded.

In the name of God amen I Arthur BOWDEN of the State of North Carolina and of Currituck being sick and weak but hath my perfect senses and thanks be unto God for it calling unto mind the mortality of man have a mind to settle my worldy business in manner and form as follows do make this my last will and testament.

First I want the yoak of steers sold for the benefit of setlin of my estate and my angus for the same besness and also I give to my well beloved son Thos. BOWDEN my english miscuit & to my Son Wm. BOWDEN my French musscut.

Item I give my well beloved wife SOPHINE all the rest of my property booth in doors and out doors lands & chattle property her natural life for her use & her benefit to this my last will & testament whereof I hereunto set my hand & seal this the 31st day of December one thousand & eight hundred & thirty one.
