In the name of God Amen, I William BRABBLE of the County of Currituck and State of N. Carolina being in perfect health and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for this do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of the Almighty God hoping through the merits of the death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ have full and free pardon of all my sins to Inherit everlasting life. And as touching and disposing of all such temporal estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose therof followeth, First I will that all my debts be paid and discharged.
Item: I give to my beloved Daughter Lydia one trunnel bed and furniture three pewter plats, one pewter bason, one iron kittle one bible [worn] and soulses one pine chest.
Item: I give to my beloved Daughter Franky one high bed and furniture three pewter plates, one dish one small dish one pair of mill stones one cedar chest one small pott potthooks and fram [worn off]
Item: I give to Henry EVANS one bed and furniture at Mr. BALLANCE, one three [worn] old heifer one bason, one small dish one sow and shotes one bible one hand saw one iron kittle.
Item: I give to well belove Wife Nancy BRABBLE the use of the plantation whereon I now live during her life or widowhood then to my Daughter Chloe BRABBLE and if she should die without heir to my Daughter Franky BRABBLE.
Item: I give to my Daughter Chloe BRABBLE the bed and furniture I now make use of one flat dish one pewter bason one pewter plate one heifer.
Item: I give to my beloved Wife Nancy BRABBLE one mare and all within doors and without unmentioned. I hereby disannul and revoke all other former wills and testaments and I leave my beloved Wife Nancy BRABBLE and beloved friend Evan MILLER full and sole executors of this my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 29th of Nov. 1778
