I Andrew BRAY of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of human life do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.
Item First That I hereby give and devise to my beloved wife Kate BRAY all of my earthly possessions of whatever kind or form to her and her heirs to have & to hold in fee simple forever.
Item Second I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Kate BRAY my sole executrix to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will & testament hereby revoking & declaring utterly void all other wills & testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said Andrew BRAY do hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd February 1872.

Signed sealed and delivered by the said Andrew BRAY to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence do subscribe our hands as witnesses thereto

Currituck County} In Probate Court
A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of A. BRAY Dec'd is exhibited in this Court for Probate by Kate BRAY the executrix therein named, and the execution thereof by the said A. BRAY proved by the oath and examination of J.J. BAXTER and S.F. WILLIAMS the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is therefore adjudged and decreed that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of the said A. BRAY and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed. And thereupon Kate BRAY named executrix as aforesaid came forward and qualified as such by taking the usual oath.Recorded 10th day of April 1872
