Currituck Co. Will Book 3, pp. 98-99

In the name of God. Amen. I Samuel CREEKMUR of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being now sick and in low state of health, but of a perfect and sound mind and memory, and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men one to die, and after death to appear in judgment, and first of all I recommend my spirit into the Almighties hand from whence it came and my body to be buried in such christian like manner as maybe to the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned, and as to my worldy estate I give, demise and bequeath in the following manner Viz.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth CREEKMAN Daughter of Moses CREEKMAN, one half of land on the north side to her and her heirs lawfully begotten of her body forever, and in case Elizabeth dies without lawful heir, to go to the next.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved Daughter Nancy CREEKMUR, the other half of my land, the south side, to her and her heirs forever. I desire the land to be equally divided between the two, by a line runing east and west, the south part to Nancy, and the north to Elizabeth.

Item: I lend the use of all my land unto my beloved Wife Ann CREEKMUR in during her natural life, to occupy and live on peaceably without being interrupted.

Item: I leave the use of all my property within doors, and without, to my beloved Wife induring her natural life, and for to support her, and after paying all my just debts and settling my business, at my Wifes death, for all the residue of my estate to be equally divided between Nancy and Elizabeth CREEKMAN. And lastly of all I make constitute and appoint my Wife, Samuel O'NEAL, and Isaiah POYNER my true and trusty Executors to this my Last Will and Testament, ratifying this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament, disannuling all and every other Testamental will or wills, gifts etc. made or ???? by me. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of July 1812.
