IN THE NAME OF God, Amen. I John DANIEL of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, in my right mind and memory, do make this my Last Will and Testament.
Firstly, I leave my land and tenements whereon I now reside to be sold at the discretion of my executor, and my land at Black Hall likewise, and as much of my chattle property as my executor and Wife sees proper. I likewise want my just debts to be paid, afterwards I want all the nett proceeds of my property to be my beloved Wifes, to hold forever for her use and benefit, to dispose of as she pleases only a resonable support for my Mother as long as she lives, which is to be delt out at the discretion of my executor and I furthermore leave my beloved friend Adam ETHERIDGE whole and sole executor to this my Last Will being in my right mind and memory as witness my hand and seal this 26 of March 1827.

Ordered that the will be sent down to the County Court, together with the records of this Court, that the Court below may grant letters of Administration etc. I Samuel FEREBEE clerk of the Superior Court of Law for the County of Currituck do certify the above to be a true copy of the records and proceedings in the above case.
