Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen,
I Willis DAUGE of Currituck County and State of North Carolina being at this time weak body and sick but of a disposing mind and memory and in perfect siences thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and testament.
First of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the descretion of my executors whom I shall appoint hereafter and as for my worldly estate which it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with in this life I leave in the following manner.
Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Grace DAUGE all my estate real and personal that is to be found within doors and without (during her widowhood) and at the death of my Wife I give to my Daughter Grace one feather bed and furniture and one loom and all the harness that belongs to the said loom and one linnen wheel.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nelope one bed and furniture one linnen wheel
Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth one bed and furniture one linnen wheel and one pine table.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard my mill and spoon moulds and long gun and all the rest of my estate to be sold and equally divided amongst all my children at the death of my Wife whom I constitute and appoint my whole and sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament revoaking and disannulling all other wills and testament by me made ratifying and confirming this to be my Last Will and Testament and to the troth I have here unto set my hand fixed my seal this 19th day of March 1806
