North Carrolinah  Curretuck Coty    May the 18th 1746

I Tull DOUGE of Curretuck Coty in Carrolinah, yeoman, being at this Time in perfect memory Thro? The mercy of God, Tho very Sick and weak, do make This my Last Will and Testement in manner following, That is to say}  I do give unto my well belovd Brother James DOUGE all my part of Lands & hereditements belonging to me in ye sd Coty to him his Ears [heirs].  Item I do also Give to my Sd Brother all my Hoggs for which Considerrations I do desire my sd Brother to pay all my Debts That I am Justly owing.  Item I give to my well beloved Sister Sarah SOREY one gray Mair & also one Cow and Calf.  Item I give to my Sister Susanah GLASCO's Children one Mair & Coult.  Item I give To my younest Sister Mary DOUGE one Two year old Heipher Now at Thomas MERCER's.  Item I give to Peter SOREY one Cow.  Item I do give to Caleb GLASCO, Son of William GLASCO, one one [sic] Cow & Calf.  Item I Give to my youngest Brother John DOUGE one four year old Heipher.  Item I do give one Two year old Steir to my Sister Susanah GLASCO.  Item I do give To my Sister Sarah SOREY one two year old Steir.  Item I Give to my sd Sister Sarah SOREY Three Ew's.

as for all my other Personal Estate wherwith God hath Blest Me, I do Intirely Give to my Brother James DOUGE and do hereby Constitute and appoynt my sd Brother Jas Soal Executtor of this my Last Will and Testement written with my hand this day of the Date above.

   North Carolina  }        At a Court held for the said County of Curretuck on Tuesday the first day July Anno Dom 1746
Curretuck County}
    Present His Majesties Justices

These may Certify that Henry SIMMONS & Joab DOUGE Two of the Subscribing Evidences to the within Will came in to open Court & made Oath on the Holy Evangeless that they were present & Saw Tull DOUGE Sign Seal Publish and Declare the within to be & Contain his Last will & Testament & that the said Tull DOUGE was then & at that time of Sound & Disposeing Memory and that they Saw Joseph CAMPBELL the other Subscribing Evidence Sign his Name thereunto at the Same Time.  Then Also appeared James DOUGE Executor in Open Court & took the Executors Oath in Due form of Law.  Ordered that the Honble Nathl RICE Esqr Secy of this Province have Notice thereof that Letters Testamentory Issue thereon as the Law Directs.
