Currituck County Wills
The Last Will and Testament of Abiah DOUGH dec., was exhibited in open court February Term 1846
In the name of God Amen. I Abiah DOUGH of the state of North Carolina, Currituck County being weak and Feeble but of sound mind and memory calling to mind the uncertainity of life and the certainty of Death do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.First I commit my soul unto God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently interred and as touching my worldly substance which has pleased God to bless me with. I dispose of and give as follows to wit.
Item 1 - I bequeath to my Grand daughter Sarah AYDLOTT one bed and furniture. One heifer to her and her heirs forever.
Item 2 - I bequeath to my Grand daughter Lovey OWENS my chest of clothes to her and her heirs forever.
Item 3 - I bequeath to my daughter Susan OWENS one Cow with all the rest of the property that I possess in doors and out of doors to her and her heirs forever.
This the 14th day of December 1845
