In the name of God Amen. I Edmend DOZIER of the County of Currituck and in the State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertanity of the things of thy transitory world do make and ordain this presents my Last Will and Testament and as touching this worldly substance wist it has pleased God to bless me with do give and dispose of the same in the following manner Viz.
I give and bequeath to my two Daughters Nancy & Patsey my home plantation to be equally divided between them and their heirs forever.
I also give to my Daughter Martha two negroes one by the name of Wilson the other Abel.
I also give to my Daughter Nancy two negroes one by the name of Yellow Ned the other by the name of Cate to them and their Heirs forever.
Impremise I give and bequeath to my Daughter Margarett the Deading track of land so called one negro man called Daniel to her and her heirs forever.
Impremise I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife two negros one by the name of Hannah the other by the name of Black Ned
Impremise I give and bequeath to my Wife and three Daughters all the remaining part of my estate which I have not already given away including apiece of swamp land lying up Juniper River containing seventy acres more or less and also appoint my two friends Philip DOZIER & H.D. BARNARD my executors and guardin to my three children in ratifycation of the same I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 27th March 1821.
