In the name of God Amen.

I Evan DOUDGE of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say.

First item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Sarah DOUGE all my estate after paying my just debts, to her and her heirs forever.

Lastly I appoint my Wife Sarah DOUGE whole and sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other will or instruments of writing by me made prior to this will. Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal on the third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
