Currituck CountyIn the name of God Amen. I Meddy DUDLEY wife of Matthias DUDLEY of said state and county being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.
Item 1st I give and bequeath to my husband Matthias DUDLEY all of my estate and property of every kind real personal and mixed to him his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever.
Item 2nd I nominate constitute and appoint my husband Matthias DUDLEY executor of this my last will and testament. Witness my hand and seal this the 5th day of May A.D. 1884.

Currituck County } Aug. 25th day 1884A paper writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Meddy DUDLEY was this day offered for probate by Matthias DUDLEY, the executor therein named, and the execution of the same duly proven by the oath and examination of W.R. GORDON and A.P. FROST, subscribing witnesses thereto. And it appearing on said examination that the said Meddy DUDLEY was of full age to make a will and that she was of sound mind and disposing memory and under no restraint or undue influence; that they witnessed said will at the request and in the presence of the said testatrix and in the presence of each other by subscribing their names thereto, and at the time said testatrix signed the same. It is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of Meddy DUDLEY, and it it ordered recorded and filed
