I Sanfred D. DUNTON of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolin biang of sound mind and memory but considerien the unsurirtanty of my earthly existance do make and declair this my last will and testiment in maner and form following that is to say

Itum 1;  I lend to my wiffe Willie Love DUNTON the plantation whare I now live that haired by my father, D.W. DUNTON.

Itum 2;  I all so give all of my chttle property in doers and out doers to my wife Willie Love DUNTON hir life time a widowhod.

Itum 3; I give to my daughter Sarah J. DUNTON one peace or parcel of land comencin at the north side of the yeopon nursery thence down the road to the canal thence down the canal to the Sound I all so give my daughter Sarah J. DUNTON all the land that I bought of Edvin DOXSEY deciesed sold by Z.M. DOXSEY administrator.

Itom 4;  I give to my son William S. DUNTON all of the land that I own on the west side of the road that I haired by my father all so the land that I bought of J.P. WILLIAMS and wife I all so give to my son William S. DUNTON all the land on piney Island that I hiared by my father I all so give to my son William S. DUNTON the graz in privliges of long point Barhead FOSTERs de'd land containing 150 achors mor or les that I bought of Thomas S. PAMECY? and wife Jane and all of the stock on the saim all so I give him 95 achors in the WHITE patron that I haired by my father all so I give to my son William S. DUNTON 50 achors of swamp land that I haired by my father lying back of D.C. LINDSEY all so I give to my son William S. DUNTON 50 achors of swamp land that I haired by my father lying in the back woods neair the Long house all so all of my right and title of the marsh land lying on the north end of piney Island that I haired by my father.

Itom 5; All money and claimes left over at my death to bee equely devided by three my wife, Willie Love DUNTON and Sarah J. DUNTON and William S. DUNTON.

Itom 6;  all so at death of my wife Willie Love DUNTON this place whare I now live is to bee eqely devided betwn Sarah J. DUNTON and William S. DUNTON.  I all so do apoint my wife Willie Love DUNTON hole and sole executor to this my last will and testiment.  Given under my hand & seal this the 7 March 1885.

PROBATE

State of North Carolina, Currituck County
    A paper writing purporting to be the last will & testament of S.D. DUNTON is offered for probate by Willie L. DUNTON, the executrix named therein, and the execution of the same proven by the oath and examination of John B. JARVIS, Meddie E. JARVIS and N.P. HAMPTON, subscribing witnesses thereto and it appearing that the said S.D. DUNTON was of full age to make a will and of sound mind and disposing memory and under no restraint or undue influence & declaring in the presence of said witnesses when he signed his name to said paper writing that the said paper writing so signed and witnessed was his last will and testament.  Therefore it is ordered and adjudged & decreed that the said paper writing thus exhibited & proved be and is in all respects declared to be the last will & testament of the said S.D. DUNTON.
    Let the same with this decree be recorded.  Thereupon the said Willie L. DUNTON qualified as executrix by taking the oath prescribed by law.  This August 15th day 1885.

Willie L. DUNTON, being duly sworn, doth say: That S. D. DUNTON, late of said County, is dead, having first made and published his last Will and Testament; and that Willie L. DUNTON is the executor named therein.  Further, that the property of the said S. D. DUNTON consisting of lands & Chattel is worth about $8,000 so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application; and that Willie L. DUNTON, Wm. S. DUNTON and Sarah J. DUNTON are the parties entitled under said will to the said property.  Sworn to and subscribed before me the 15 day of August 1885. /s/ Willie L. DUNTON

A paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of S. D. DUNTON, deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned Judge of Probate for said County, by Willie L. DUNTON the Executrix therein mentioned, and the due execution thereof by the said S. D. DUNTON by the oath and examination of John B. JARVIS, Meddie E. JARVIS & N. P. HAMPTON three of the subscribing witnesses thereto; who being duly sworn, doth depose and say, and each for himself deposeth and saith, that he is a subscribing witness to the paper-writing now shown him, purporting to be the last will and testament of S. D. DUNTON; that the said S. D. DUNTON, in the presence of this deponent, subscribed his name at the end of said paper-writing, which is now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of 7th day of March 1885.

Severally sworn and subscribed this 15th day of August 1885, before me, H. B. ANSELL,  Probate Judge; Recorded in Superior Court in said County on Monday 21st day of August 1854
