In the name of God Amen, I Matthew ELLIS of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory do make declare ordain and pronounce this instrument of writing to contain my Last Will and Testament Viz.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah ELLIS one feather bed and furniture two young heiffers including the one I have already given her and put it in a mark for her also one ewe and lamb first choice to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Peggy ELLIS one feather bed and furniture two young heiffers including the one I have already given her and put it in a mark for her also one ewe and lamb first choice to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Julia ELLIS all the remaining part of my estate after paying my just debts funeral charges to her and her heirs forever.

Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint dearly beloved Wife Julia ELLIS and Doctor David JONES my true and lawful executors to my Last Will and Testament to see it performed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and I do revoak and disannul all former wills by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Matthew ELLIS have set my hand and seal the 23rd day of December 1805 and independence of the United States the Thirteeth year.
