I John T. ETHERIDGE of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make this my last will and testament in maner as follows, to wit -

Item first - I give and bequeath unto Royal J. ADAMS the tract of land he now lives on it being on the east ridge road.

Item 2nd - I give and bequeath the tract of land I now live on to Elly E. ADAMS it being situated on Narrows Shore the above tracts of land I give to Royal and Elly ADAMS and to their heirs forever.

Item 3d - I will that all my chattle property be sold to pay my lawful debts and any thing left to be eaqually divided between Royal & Elly ADAMS.

Item 4th - It is my will that Royall ADAMS and Elly ADAMS pay lawful rent off of each one of the places I give to them for the support of my wife Margaret if living at my death.  This Sept. 24th AD 1879.

A paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of John T. ETHERIDGE deceased, is exhibited for probate in open court by Royal J. ADAMS one of the executors and it is thereupon proved by the oath and examination of D.W. WOODHOUSE, Edmond WOODHOUSE & M.E. WOODHOUSE that J.M. WOODHOUSE one of the subscribing witnesses thereto is dead, and it is also proved by the oath and examination of D.W. WOODHOUSE, Edmond WOODHOUSE & M.E. WOODHOUSE that Sarah M. WOODHOUSE the other subscribing witness thereto is also dead.  And it is further proved by the oath and examination of the said D.W. WOODHOUSE & M.E WOODHOUSE having often seen him write, and that the name of the said J.M. WOODHOUSE subscribed as a witness to the said will, is in the handwriting of the said J.M. WOODHOUSE and it is also proved by the oath and examination of the said witnesses aforesaid that they are well acquainted with the handwriting of the said Sarah M. WOODHOUSE having often seen her write, and that the name of the said Sarah M. WOODHOUSE subscribed as a witness to the said will, is in the handwriting of the said Sarah M. WOODHOUSE.  It is therefore considered by the court that the said paper writing, and every part thereof, is the last will and testament of the said John T. ETHERIDGE and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed.
            This first day of October 1888
