Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen.
I Willis ETHRIDGE of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God, do this 28th day of January in the year of our Lord 1806 make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say. First I give one third of all my personal estate, which is not before given away to my Son William ETHRIDGE, to him and his heirs for ever, and also one third I give to my Son James ETHRIDGE deceased Daughters also one third I give to my Daughters Sarahs two Sons Thomas DUDLEY and Malachi DUDLEY to all them and their heirs forever to be equally divided after all my lawful debts is paid. And I hereby make and appoint, my Son William ETHRIDGE my executor of this my Last Will and Testament and set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.

[Note: Probate date is from Currituck Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions. Also in court minutes it says that since the executor, William ETHERIDGE, SR., has been implicated in a felony, Mitchell SIMMONS is appointed administrator].
