The last will and Testament of Elizabeth EVERTON was exhibited in open court at November term 1848 and the execution of the same proved by the oaths of John JARVES, Andrew J. WALKER subscribing witness thereto in due form ordered recorded.

   In the name of God Amen.  I Elizabeth EVERTON of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being in a low state of health but of a sound mind and memory do this day make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following

   First I give and bequeath unto Cordelia Elizabeth JARVES one feather bed and stead and furniture to her and her heirs for ever.

   Second I give and bequeath unto Moria JARVES one feather bed and stead and furniture to her and her heirs for ever.

   Thirdly I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth JARVES one walnut chest chest [sic] and two looking glasses to her and her heirs for ever.

   Fourthly I give and bequeath unto my Grandson William JARVES one silver watch one picture of Washington to him and his heirs forever.

   Sixthly [sic] I give and bequeath unto Antinzer JARVES one set of silver tea spoons to him and his heirs forever.

   The rest of my property to be sold and equally divided betwen my Grand children William JARVES, Antinzer JARVES, Lovey JARVES to them and their heirs forever.

   Lastly I do appoint John JARVES the sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament this the 30 day of Septer. 1848.
